KB Belton tabbed as new head football coach at Lennard

RUSKIN, FLORIDA- Life after Matt Kitchie being the head football coach at Lennard High School has been wondering who his replacement would be.
On Thursday afternoon, that question was answered with experience. Former Out-of-Door Academy head coach KB Belton was named the new lead man of the Lennard Longhorns, according to a Twitter announcement by Belton.

Belton coached the Thunder for one in 2020, leading Out-of-Door to a record of 2-5 before stepping down after the season. In 2019, Belton was the program’s offensive coordinator. The former ODA head coach took off the 2022 campaign before becoming the eventual successor to Kitchie.
Kitchie stepped down as Lennard’s head coach back in April and accepted the Director of Athletics at his alma mater, Southeast High School. The Manatee County native left Lennard after seven seasons at the helm and compiled an overall record of 18-52.
