DD Holmes, 4-star defensive lineman, commits to Florida State over Maryland, Rutgers and South Carolina
WASHINGTON, DC- What has been an already great 2024 class of commitments only got better for Mike Norvell's Florida State Seminoles on Saturday afternoon.
According to On3, Gonzaga (District of Columbia) senior defensive lineman DD Holmes has committed to Florida State. The defensive star is a 4-star rated prospect according to 247Sports and chose the Seminoles over nearby Maryland, Rutgers and South Carolina.

The 6-foot-6, 250-pound defensive lineman plays more so off the edge, but could see himself playing more within the interior on the next level. For Gonzaga last season, Holmes notched 37 tackles, eight for loss and two sacks.
Holmes also had offers from Boston College, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Ole Miss, Penn State, Texas, Vanderbilt, Virginia, West Virginia and Wisconsin.
