Artavius Jones, 4-star defensive lineman, commits to Miami (FL) over Florida State, Tennessee and UCF

BLOUNTSTOWN, FLORIDA- Owning the state of Florida is something the University of Miami (FL) has been trying to do and under the guidance of Mario Cristobal, they are starting to pull off some big commitments.
On Friday evening, the Hurricanes struck gold for the second day in a row with another solid commit, but this time from the Florida Panhandle.
Blountstown (Florida) senior defensive tackle Artavius Jones announced Friday evening via Twitter that he is staying in the Sunshine State and committing to the Miami Hurricanes. The defensive lineman is a 4-star rated Class of 2024 prospect according to 247Sports and chose the Hurricanes over Florida State, Tennessee and UCF.

Jones was a monster in the defensive line for the Tigers, who made the Class 1R state semifinals. The defensive tackle notched 58 tackles, 14 for a loss, 3.5 sacks and even caught eight passes for 142 yards on offense.
