Jon Daniels, 4-star offensive lineman, commits to Florida State over Georgia and Kentucky

Pine Forest (Florida) four-star offensive lineman Jon Daniels made his commitment on Thursday night to the Seminoles

PENSACOLA, FLORIDA- When it came down to it, staying closer to home seems to be the recurring theme with some top recruits as of late.

On Thursday night, that trend continued on the Florida Panhandle with one of the state’s best Class of 2024 offensive tackles.

Pine Forest (Florida) senior offensive tackle Jon Daniels announced Thursday night via Twitter that he is staying close to home and committing to the Florida State Seminoles. The offensive lineman is a 4-star rated Class of 2024 prospect according to 247Sports and chose the Seminoles over Georgia and Kentucky.

Daniels, a 6-foot-3, 280-pound tackle, was arguably the top lineman in the northern part of Florida and for good reason. The FSU commit helped pave the way for over 4,000 yards of offense for the Eagles.

Pine Forest is expected to be a contender in Class 3S once again and are led by first-year head coach Tony Carter, a former Navarre assistant.
