Tawaski ‘TJ’ Abrams, 4-star wide receiver, flips from Florida State to rival Florida

Abrams announced on Tuesday night that he was flipping his commitment from Florida State to rival Florida

FORT MYERS, FLORIDA- When Dunbar wide receiver Tawaski ‘TJ’ Abrams committed to Florida State back in January, it was a dream come true.

Playing for the Seminoles was something Abrams had grown up during his childhood dreaming about. Now as a teenager, his mind has changed quite a bit recently.

So much so, he’s now learned he wants to play for Florida State’s heated rival.

According to On3’s Hayes Fawcett, the Dunbar wide receiver decided Tuesday night that he is flipping his commitment from Florida State to Florida. Abrams previously chose the Seminoles back on January 26th. Abrams is a 4-star rated wide receiver according to 247Sports.

The 5-foot-11, 190-pound wideout is coming off a groundbreaking season at Dunbar, leading the Tigers to a deep playoff run in Class 3S.

As a junior this fall Abrams had 429 receiving yards, 248 rushing yards, and scored eight touchdowns for the regional champion Tigers. Dunbar reached the state semifinals before being ousted by Mainland at home.
