Brandon Jacob, 4-star safety, commits to Maryland over Miami (FL), Ohio State, Texas A&M and UCF
ORLANDO, FLORIDA- Earlier in the day, Jones High School defensive tackle D’Antre Robinson announced his commitment to the Texas Longhorns.
Not too long afterwards, Evans safety Brandon Jacob tweeted out to tune in for his announcement at 7 p.m. and Robinson retweeted with the assertion that the fellow Orlando product should join him in the Lonestar State.
Jacob decided otherwise and that he will be heading north.
Evans (Florida) senior safety Brandon Jacob announced Thursday evening via Twitter that he is heading to South Carolina and committing to the Maryland Terrapins. The safety is a 4-star rated Class of 2024 prospect according to 247Sports and chose the Terrapins over Miami (FL), Ohio State, Texas A&M and UCF
Jacob had himself a strong 2022 campaign for the Trojans as he racked up 69 tackles, 10 passes defended and five interceptions, with two of them returned for touchdowns. The safety had nearly 50 offers on table from colleges around the country.
