Breaking: Poinciana (Florida) dismisses Randy Beeken as football head coach

After five seasons at the helm, Randy Beeken will no longer be leading the Poinciana Eagles’ football program.

According to Beeken, the school on Monday morning advised him of plans to part ways and head in another direction. Beeken had been at the school five seasons, longest of any head coach in program history.

“It’s one of those things that the school wanted to go in another direction,” Beeken said about his dismissal.

The Eagles compiled an overall record of 20-29 from 2019-2023. Beeken’s first season the team went 4-6 followed up by a 3-6 and 1-9 campaigns between 2020-2021. Last season proved to be the program’s best in history as they went 8-2 as an independent team.

Poinciana had been playing as an independent team the last four seasons, compiling 16 wins during that stretch. Prior to 2022’s 8-2 campaign, the best finish the Eagles ever had was the 2019 4-6 initial season under Beeken.
