Prior to the punch, Tampa Catholic appeared to be in a fourth down punting formation from its own 29-yard line when several Jesuit coaches began signaling for a timeout. As soon as time was granted, a Tiger player sprinted off the field. As he approached the sideline he was greeted by a right hook to the left-side of his head, thrown by the Jesuit assistant coach.
The player immediately removed his helmet and turned to face the field as the assistant coach followed him and screamed in his face.
