Jacob Gettman booted a 22-yard field goal as time expired to lift Mainland to a 22-19 victory over St. Augustine on Thursday in the Florida (FHSAA) Class 3S state football championship game in Tallahassee.

It marked the first state football title since 2003 for the Buccaneers (14-1).
