It was a record setting year across the board in Northeast Florida when it came down to offensive play.
From quarterbacks to running backs to wide receivers, there was plenty to get excited about if you were a fan of high school football all across the Panhandle region.
We continue with our regional polls around the state as the high school football season winds down and ask the question: Who is the Offensive Player of the Year in Northeast Florida for 2023?
We’ve selected 11 worthy candidates and ask you the fan to vote for who you think topped them all.
Voting will end on December 31st, 2023.
Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.
Here are the nominations:
Jaime Ffrench, WR, Mandarin: One of the most explosive wide receivers in the entire state was the Alabama commitment. Ffrench, a junior wide receiver, hauled in 62 passes for 1,247 yards and scored 14 touchdowns.

Tiant Wyche, RB, Mandarin: Wyche was certainly one of the state's more underrated running backs. After the 2023 season, many won't be saying that anymore. The senior running back carried the rock 197 times for 1,812 yards and 26 touchdowns.
Laython Biddle, RB, Bartram Trail: Leading the state in the rushing department yardage wise was Bartram Trail's Biddle. The senior running back led the state in rushing with 2,198 yards on 302 carries and scored 30 touchdowns.

Devonte Lyons, RB, St. Augustine: The sidekick to standing beside or in the backfield to Hewlett was Lyons. The senior running back just committed recently to Florida International after a sensational season. Lyons rushed for 1,558 yards on 239 carries and scored 27 touchdowns.
Edward Jordan, QB, Beachside: Just a sophomore, Jordan produced on a weekly basis for the Barracudas. The Beachside quarterback completed 187-of-286 passes for 2,537 yards, 35 touchdowns.
Harrison Garrido, RB, Creekside: Providing a punch to the Knights' offense this past season was the hard running of Garrido. The senior running back led the way for Creekside, rushing for 1,332 yards on 177 carries and scored 15 touchdowns.
Maddox Spencer, WR, Nease: Not many receivers in the state put up the kind of numbers Spencer did for the Panthers. Playing for a district championship squad, the Nease wide receiver caught 68 passes for 1,348 yards and scored 16 touchdowns.
Joshua Jones, WR, Zarephath Academy: Whenever the Eagles wanted to throw the ball, most of the time they were looking in Jones' way. The freshman wide receiver had a breakout season catching 53 passes for 1,507 yards and 12 touchdowns.
Rodney Tisdale Jr., QB, First Coast: The senior signal caller produced in a big way for the Buccaneers in 2023. Tisdale Jr. completed 157-of-260 passes for 2,348 yards, 26 touchdowns and also rushed for 266, three scores.
Carl Jenkins Jr., WR, St. Augustine: A running mate of Hewlett, Lyons on a potent Yellow Jackets' offense, Jenkins Jr. became one of Northeast Florida's top wide receivers. The junior pass catcher hauled in 62 passes for 1,273 yards and 16 touchdowns for the Class 3S state finalists.
