Michael Clayton II, 2026 quarterback, transfers from Edgewater to Sanford Seminole

Clayton has five Power Five offers so far after his sophomore campaign

A lot of the notable transfers that have taken place this high school football offseason in Florida have come down south out of Broward and Dade counties. 

Now one out of the Central Florida region has take place between two state powers. 

Sophomore quarterback Michael Clayton II has transferred from Edgewater to Sanford Seminole. Clayton’s X, formerly known as Twitter, shows the signal caller as ‘QB1’ at Sanford Seminole.

Clayton II was the starting quarterback for the Fightin’ Eagles all of the 2023 season, leading Edgewater to a 11-1 record. The sophomore quarterback this past season completed 120-of-224 passes for 1,902 yards, 18 touchdowns and nine interceptions. 

The former Edgewater quarterback heads to a Sanford Seminole team that graduates Karson Siqueiros-Lasky, who threw for 2,285 yards and 27 last season for the Seminoles. 

According to 247Sports, Clayton II has offers from Arkansas, Florida A&M, Pittsburgh, Toledo and Virginia Tech.
