Here are the nominees:

Oliver Berens, St. Thomas Aquinas: Coming off a state championship season is never easy. Berens has his Raiders playing its best ball during the winter break, winning seven in a row.

Cindy Richardson, Colonial: Among one of Central Florida's mainstays as head coaches, Richardson has Colonial playing well during the holidays. Richardson has navigated the Grenadiers to nine straight wins.

Gerald Perry, Sarasota Riverview: Outside of a loss to Whitney Young (Illinois), Perry led his Rams to a 3-1 record during the break. Wins included defeating Armwood, Clinton (Tennessee) and West Orange.

Sheena Kee, Tampa Catholic: The Crusaders have been one of the hottest teams in the Sunshine State coming out of the winter break. Kee led Tampa Catholic to an impressive 5-1 record during the holidays.

Mark Woodruff, Gulf Coast: Woodruff has done a nice job with his Sharks this 2023-2024 campaign, but especially over the holidays. The Gulf Coast lead man has led the club on three straight wins.

Jeryl Akins, Dwyer: No team out of the 561 is playing better on the girls basketball circuit than the Panthers right now. Akins has led his squad to four straight victories, including wins over Flanagan and West Boca Raton.

Darryl Marshall, FSU High: Out of the Big Bend region, a team that got hot over the winter break is the Seminoles of Tallahassee. Marshall has turned things around, guiding the team to three straight victories to kickoff 2024.

Jazlynd Rollins, Gainesville: Rollins, a former Rutgers guard, faced adversity to start the season with a 2-6 record. She's turned things around with five wins in a row and coming out of the winter break above .500.
