Vote: Who is the Florida South Suncoast Boys Basketball Player of the Week (2/12/2024)?

The Florida High School Boys Basketball season is in full swing and we continue our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state. Teams started off the regular season with some great individual performances.

As such, we have eight athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s South Suncoast high school boys basketball player of the week award from February 5-10, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, February 18th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Congratulations to Braden River’s Isaac Heaven for winning last week’s South Suncoast poll!

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominees:

Connor Heald, Cardinal Mooney: The senior wing led the way in the district title win over Bradenton Christian. Heald scored a team-high 21 points and five rebounds in a 66-58 win.

Jovan Palavra, Sarasota Booker: Palavra has been a consistent scorer for the Tornadoes and he helped guide them to a district crown, scoring a team-high 17 points in a 58-50 win over Bayshore.

Jaden Baker, Bradenton Christian: Baker is back on this list after another strong outing for the Panthers, lifting them past Imagine School of North Port 82-69 with a team-high 18 points.
