The Florida High School Baseball season is in full swing and we are set to honor the week's top stars with our Player of the Week polls for areas all around the state.

This week we have 10 athletes nominated this week for the SBLive’s Northeast Florida High School Baseball Player of the Week award from March 4-9, and we ask you, the fans, to help decide who should indeed be the top athlete selected. Voting will conclude on Sunday, March 17th at 11:59 p.m. The winner will be announced in next week's poll.

Congratulations to last week's winner: Rylan Covington of Riverside.

Editor’s note: Our corresponding poll is intended to be fun, and we do not set limits on how many times a fan can vote during the competition. This poll is specifically for fans to vote on the players that have been nominated and in no way discredits any other player that may not be mentioned in our poll.

Here are the nominees:

Brady Watson, 2B/C/RHP, Christ’s Church Academy: The Eagles won two of their three games last week, and Watson was a big reason for their success. The freshman went 3-8 with four RBIs, one triple and four runs scored. He also pitched five innings with 10 strikeouts while only allowing two hits and one base on balls in their victory on Monday.

Easton McMahan, Clay: McMahan went 5-9 with four RBIs and one double in three games last week. He hit one home run and scored an additional three times in last week’s action as well.

Jordan Clarke, Oakleaf: In three games last week, Clarked batted .400 with one double and three RBIs. He recorded a stolen base in their victory versus Clay, and also pitched six innings with five strikeouts in the same game.

Cooper Kiker, St Augustine: Kiker had an excellent week behind the plate and the mound as St Augustine went 1-1 in last week’s games. Kiker was 3-6 with a double and a triple, one RBI and two runs scored. He then pitched seven innings and recorded a staggering 15 strikeouts in a loss to Wolfson.

Logan Alessi, Middleburg: Alessi went 3-6 in Middleburg’s two wins last week. He also recorded two RBIs, two doubles and scored three runs. He will look to build upon this offensive success in the week’s to come.

Dayton Taylor, SS, St. Joseph Academy: Taylor picked up four hits in eight at bats in three games last week. His best game came in an 11-3 win over Ridgeview in which he hit one home run with five RBIs and scored three runs.

Braeden Mcnamee, RHP/UTIL, First Coast: The senior pitched five innings while allowing only one earned run and striking out eight as First Coast beat Creekside 3-1.

Jordan Martinez, Trinity Christian Academy: Martinez’s bat came alive as the Conquerors beat the Lowndes Vikings (Valdosta, GA) 5-4. Martinez was 2-4 with one triple and one home run. He drove in two runs and scored two more to help lead his team to victory.
