Dia Bell, 5-star rated 2026 quarterback, commits to Texas
PLANTATION, FLORIDA - It's been one 2026 Florida-based quarterback after another making their respective college commitments recently it seems.
On Monday afternoon, Plantation American Heritage's Dia Bell became the next in line when it comes to Sunshine State quarterbacks making their pledges to a universities.
Bell announced via X, formerly known as Twitter, that he is committing to the Texas Longhorns. The South Florida product also had offers on the table from schools like Auburn, Colorado, Florida, Florida State, LSU, Miami (FL), Ohio State, Oregon, Penn State and Washington.
Bell, the son of former NBA player Raja Bell, joins fellow Florida 2026 high school quarterbacks Noah Grubbs (Notre Dame) and Will Griffin (Florida) in making commitments. Grubbs and Griffin announced in the last week.
During the 2023 season for the Patriots, Bell had a spectacular sophomore campaign for the Class 2M state semifinalists. The quarterback finished last fall completing 122-of-189 passes for 1,929 yards, 20 touchdowns and just a mere four interceptions.
