Sehome's Taylor Rapp selected by Los Angeles Rams in 2nd round of 2019 NFL Draft

Shortly after his name was called in the 2019 NFL Draft on Friday, Sehome High School's Taylor Rapp videotaped a message for Los Angeles Rams fans on his social-media account.
It ended with three emphatic words.
"Let's go, baby!" the normally soft-spoken Rapp shouted.
The reigning NFC champions picked Rapp - regarded by many draft analysts as the best tackler at safety available - late in the second round with the 61st overall selection.
And Rapp, a University of Washington All-American, joins a talented Rams secondary with former Husky standout Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib at cornerback, and offseason veteran signee Eric Weddle at safety, along with Josh Johnson III.
Longtime NFL draft analyst Rob Rang said Rapp's 40-yard dash time in the 4.7-second range likely impacted his stock, but added "the Rams will be happy" to get him for the future at strong safety.
Rapp graded out as the third-best safety in the country last season, according to Pro Football Focus, but he sat out of the Rose Bowl because of a hip flexor injury.
That injury reportedly raised some red flags with some NFL executives, and his slow 40 time during his pro day did not help ease those concerns.
But the Rams needed secondary depth, especially with Peters and Talib in the last year of their contracts, and Weddle nearing the end of his career.
Rapp is the first player from Sehome to ever be drafted in the NFL.
