MACON, GEORGIA – The Marist girls basketball team capped a near perfect season, Thursday evening at the Macon Centerplex, when the War Eagles soared to a 67-48 victory over North Forsyth in the GHSA AAAAAA girls basketball state championship week.

Ironically, the War Eagles, who finished 30-1, spoiled North Forsyth's bid for a perfect season, as the Raiders finished 31-1.

Marist shot a sensational 63% from the field and out-scored the Raiders 38-22 in the paint. The War Eagles also went 12-of-17 from the free throw line.

Gabbie Gliatta scored 16 points to lead North Forsyth and London Weaver netted 15.
