1. West Des Moines Dowling (6-1) beat Ames 51-7
Maroons intercepted the state’s single-game passing leader, Dallas Sauser, three times in the first half and led 38-0 at the break.
2. Ankeny (6-1) beat Des Moines North 72-0
Jazan Williams ran for four touchdowns in the first 13 minutes of the game.
3. Southeast Polk (6-1) beat No. 13 Cedar Rapids Prairie 41-0
Rams forced five turnovers and quickly turned it into a rout.
4. Pleasant Valley (7-0) beat Iowa City High 51-21
Spartans triggered a running clock in the fourth quarter, answering questions of whether they would be up to the task.
5. Council Bluffs Lewis Central (8-0) beat Glenwood 58-22
Titans got more than they bargained for early, trailing 22-20 at the half. They outscored the Rams 38-0 after the break.
6. Harlan Community (6-1) beat ADM 42-7
Somehow, the Cyclones only received 6 of 11 first-place votes in the 3-A Associated Press state rankings last week. That should change.
7. Waverly-Shell Rock (7-0) beat Mason City 52-10
McCrae Hagarty ran for three touchdowns in the first half as the Go-Hawks led 45-10 at the break.
8. Cedar Rapids Xavier (7-0) beat Clear Creek-Amana 49-0
That’s four straight shutouts for the Saints, who allowed just seven points in each of the two prior weeks.
9. Central Lyon/George-Little Rock (7-0) beat Sheldon 42-0
Lions led 21-0 at the half and have allowed double-digit points to an opponent just once this season.
10. Williamsburg (7-0) beat Davis County 77-8
Carson Huedepohl threw three touchdown passes to Derek Weisskopf in the victory.
11. Ankeny Centennial (4-3) lost to No. 24 Waukee Northwest 20-14
Jaguars trailed 14-0 at the half and saw their four-game winning streak end.
12. Mount Vernon (7-0) beat Maquoketa 49-0
Joey Rhomberg threw six touchdown passes in the first half for the Mustangs.
13. Cedar Rapids Prairie (5-2) lost to No. 3 Southeast Polk 41-0
After a disheartening loss, Hawks close with Iowa City West and Linn-Mar.
14. Indianola (5-2) lost to No. 22 Carlisle 42-21
Bennett Brueck hit favorite target Drew Kingery three times for touchdowns, but it wasn’t nearly enough for the Indians.
15. Humboldt (7-0) beat Gilbert 31-6
Wildcats meet 6-1 Nevada next week in a key Class 3-A, District 2 showdown.
16. Spirit Lake (7-0) beat Clarion-Goldfield-Dows 56-21
Caden Lundt’s 12-yard TD pass to Drew Alger with 31.5 seconds left in the first half gave Spirit Lake a 28-21 halftime lead.
17. West Des Moines Valley (4-3) beat Des Moines Lincoln 54-0
Michael Provenza ran for a pair of scores as the Tigers led 47-0 at the half.
18. Western Dubuque (5-2) beat Waterloo East 55-22
Kaleb Reed ran for more than 100 yards and scored three touchdowns, and the Bobcats led 55-8 after three quarters.
19. Iowa City Liberty (6-1) beat Fort Madison 49-0
Graham Beckman threw for 223 yards in the first half and accounted for five TDs in all against the previously unbeaten Bloodhounds.
20. North Scott (5-2) beat Clinton 55-7
Kyler Gerardy ran for two scores and passed for two in the first half as North Scott led 41-0.
21. Cedar Falls (5-2) beat Dubuque Hempstead 34-7
Tigers led 20-7 at the half and kept the Mustangs winless on the season.
22. Carlisle (6-1) beat No. 14 Indianola 42-21
Joe Goodhue scored three touchdowns for the red-hot Wildcats.
23. Urbandale (5-2) beat Sioux City West 62-6
Peyton Rottinghaus hit Kai Black for two scores in the first quarter and the J-Hawks led 55-0 at the half.
24. Waukee Northwest (4-3) beat No. 11 Ankeny Centennial 20-14
That’s four straight wins for the Wolves after opening the year with losses to Valley, Dowling and Southeast Polk.
25. Cedar Rapids Kennedy (6-1) beat Davenport West 44-0
Cougars cruised against the previously unbeaten Falcons, leading 23-0 at the half.
