The 2026 Minnesota high school girls basketball state tournament continues on Thursday with action from three classifications.

Class 1A begins its tournament with the quarterfinals, and Class 2A and 4A play their semifinals.

Minnesota High School Girls Basketball 2026 State Tournament Day 2 Scores, Recaps - March 12

CLASS 1A

No. 1 Mountain Iron-Buhl vs. No. 8 Braham

The Rangers had four players score in double-digits, and they were hot from 3-point range. They shot 14-of-32 from beyond the arc, and they forced 32 turnovers from Braham.

Morgan Rysdam led Braham with 32 points.

No. 4 Hillcrest Lutheran Academy vs. No. 5 New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy dominated with 31 points from Elin Retzlaff. The Comets shot 46 percent from the field and 42.4 percent from the field.

Gabrielle Schlaak led New Richland-H-E-G with 20 points and 12 rebounds.

No. 2 St. Mary's vs. No. 7 Mayer Lutheran

Morgan Mathiowetz scored 41 points on 14-of-25 shooting for St. Mary's. She also had eight rebounds and six steals.

Hallie Hunter led Mayer Lutheran with 18 points.

No. 3 Kelliher/Northhome vs. No. 6 Central Minnesota Christian

Central Minnesota shot 55.4 percent, and Sienna Duininck scored 30 points and grabbed 10 rebounds.

Kelliher/Northhome's shot could not fall. The Mustangs shot 32.8 percent from the field and 61.3 percent from the free throw line. Kate Thayer led them with 29 points and 12 steals.


CLASS 3A

No. 1 Stewartville vs. No. 4 Cretin-Derham Hall

Top seed Stewartville controlled much of this game. Jayci Rath scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Tigers.

Madeleine Hamiel led the Raiders with 15 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.

No. 2 Benilde-St. Margaret's vs. No. 3 Marshall

The Red Knights advanced to another championship game. Pressley Watkins scored 21 points, and Mirabel Wismer grabbed 12 rebounds. Benilde-St. Margaret's led from start to finish, and the Tigers struggled from the field. They shot 36.4 percent.


CLASS 4A

No. 1 Hopkins vs. No. 4 Maple Grove

The Royals defeated the Crimson in a rematch of the 2025 title game. Like last season, Hopkins' Erma Walker dominated. She scored 17 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, and her teammate, Jaliyah Diggs, led the Royals in scoring with 20 points.

Kate Holmquist led Maple Grove with 22 points.

No. 2 Rosemount vs. No. 3 Mayo

Amisha Ramlall hit a critical freww throw with only 39 seconds remaining to give the Irish the win. The Irish trailed by as many as 10 points in the second half, but Amisha Ramlall's 12 second-half points and Mayo's shooting struggles gave them an opportunity to win the game. Ashna Ramlall led Rosemount in points with 21.

Amelia Mills led Mayo with 29 points.
