On Tuesday, the sophomore totaled 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 assists in a 57-42 win at Riverside High School. On Friday night, he 22 points, 9 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 blocks in a 59-51 win against Bay.

Phelan was named MVP of the Class 6A state tournament with 42 assists, 2 assists and 14 digs in a 3-0 victory over Springdale Har-Ber in the state finals.
