SBLive is taking a closer look and getting your opinion on who was the Most Valuable MVP at the North Carolina High School Athletic Association girls soccer state championships. All four were brilliant in leading their teams to state titles and earning individual MVP honors in their respective classifications, but who stood above the rest?

4A - Rhian Lawrence, Cardinal Gibbons
With her team getting outshot 31-7 goalkeeper Rhian Lawrence, who did not take over as starter until midseason, stopped 15 shots to help the nights survive regulation and two overtimes in a 1-1 draw. The title was decided in penalty kicks where Lawerence made two more saves, as Gibbons prevailed 4-2.

3A - Eliza Rich, Lake Norman Charter
Wanting to build early momentum and control, Lake Norman Charter got just that in its 3A final with Eastern Alamance from Eliza Rich who staked the Knights to a 1-0 lead with a goal just six minutes into the contest. It was Lake Norman’s third state crown and their second straight.

2A - Summer Bowman, Wheatmore
With a perfect season (25-0) and the school’s first state championship on the line, Summer Bowman scored two goals, including a key one in the 75th minute, after Clinton had pulled within one score at 2-1. The Warriors went to a 4-1 victory.

1A - Riley Milligan, Christ the King
Riley Milligan scored the opening goal of the 1A state final, in the 32nd minute, and it proved to be the game-winner as the Crusaders downed Woods Charter, 3-0, for the program’s first state championship.
