The Class 6A Oregon high school boys basketball playoffs tipped off Tuesday with Round 1 action around the state. Here's a game-by-game summary of the action.

Tualatin 96, Roseburg 72
The top-ranked Timberwolves got off to a running start, sprinting away from visiting Roseburg to open postseason play.
“Roseburg came out and wanted to run, and we like to run,” Tualatin assistant coach Tom Duggan said. “It was an up-and-down game, and that’s good for us.”
Tualatin senior guard Noah Ogoli led all scorers with 26 points. Kellen Hale added 16 points, Josiah Lake had 15, Peter Burke scored 12, Jaden Steppe scored 11, and Ashton Rose came off the bench to score eight.
Senior Danil Olson led Roseburg with 24 points, and Hunter Fullerton scored 20. Roseburg took 46 3-point shots, which, according to Roseburg coach Jordan Humphreys, is a state playoff record.
Tualatin, the Three Rivers League champion and the No. 1 team in the final OSAA power rankings, improved to 22-2. The Timberwolves will play host to Lake Oswego in a second-round state playoff game Friday.
Roseburg, the No. 3 team out of the Southwest Conference, finished its season 7-17.
Lake Oswego 59, Mountain View 42
Lake Oswego, the No. 16 seed entering postseason play, came away with a 17-point win over Mountain View, the No. 17 seed, in a game played at Lake Oswego High School.
Freshman wing Winters Grady helped lead the way for the Lakers with 22 points. Senior guard Marcus Lee sank four 3-point baskets to account for his 12 points.
Sophomore guard Quincy Townsend paced the Cougars with 19 points. Senior center Tane Prictor added 11.
Lake Oswego, the No. 3 team out of the Three Rivers League, improved to 14-12. The Lakers will play at TRL rival Tualatin in a second-round playoff game Friday.
Mountain View, the No. 4 team out of the Mountain Valley Conference, finished its season 17-8.
Grant 69, Gresham 54
Grant was able to power its way to a victory over Gresham in a contest played at Grant High School.
Junior Adrian Mosley continued his big season for the Generals with 26 points, five rebounds and three assists. Senior post Austen Jay contributed a double-double, with 15 points and 11 rebounds, while also having six blocked shots. Senior wing Cole Bernius added 10 points.
Junior guard Esyah Pippa-White paced the Gophers with 22 points. Senior Terence Anderson scored 12 points, and junior Ulises Gutierrez had 11.
Grant, the Portland Interscholastic League runner-up, improved to 19-5. The Generals will travel to Beaverton for a second-round playoff contest Friday.
Gresham, the No. 3 team out of the Mt. Hood Conference, finished its season 15-10.
Beaverton 63, Bend 42
Beaverton rallied in the final two minutes of the first half to take a 26-24 lead at the break and carried the momentum to the third quarter, scoring the first 14 points of the period, as it pulled away for a 21-point win at Beaverton High School.
Sophomore Aidan Rice, coming off the bench, sank six 3-point baskets on his way to scoring a game-high 22 points for the Beavers. Junior Brady Rice added 12 points, and sophomore Max Elmgren scored 10.
Junior guard Christopher Doke led the Lava Bears with nine points.
Beaverton, which tied for the No. 2 spot in the Metro League, improved its record to 18-6. The Beavers will be home to face Grant in a second-round playoff game Friday.
Bend, the No. 5 team out of the Mountain Valley Conference, finished its season 15-11.
West Linn 90, Ida B. Wells 70
West Linn got its offense rolling in high gear, putting up 90 points in a 20-point victory over Ida B. Wells in a game played at West Linn High School.
Lions junior guard Jackson Shelstad poured in 37 points, the most of any Class 6A player in Tuesday’s first round, sinking seven 3-point baskets in the process. Senior guard Zeke Viuhkola added 12 points, and junior wing Mark Hamper scored 10.
Sophomore Jacey Canalin paced the Guardians with 24 points. Senior Leo Sewell added 14.
West Linn, the No. 2 squad out of the Three Rivers League, improved to 19-3. The Lions will play host to Jesuit in a second-round playoff contest Friday.
Ida B. Wells, the No. 6 team out of the Portland Interscholastic League, finished its season 9-17.
Jesuit 61, Sherwood 57
Jesuit was able to fight off a Sherwood comeback attempt to get a four-point win over the Bowmen in a game played at Jesuit High School.
“In an extremely competitive game, the Crusaders were able to hold off the Bowmen,” Jesuit coach Gene Potter said.
Senior wing Tyree Blake led the way for Jesuit with 19 points. Junior wing Cade Collins had 15 points, and senior post Spencer McKelligon had 10.
Junior Jared Sucher led Sherwood with 18 points. Senior Owen Caudle added 15 points, and junior Matthew Verkamp had 12.
Jesuit, the Metro League champion, upped its mark to 17-8. The Crusaders will travel to West Linn for a second-round game Friday.
Sherwood, the Pacific Conference champion, ended its season with a 16-10 record.
West Salem 76, David Douglas 74
West Salem withstood the pressure, and David Douglas, to get a thrilling first-round victory at West Salem High School.
“It was a great up-tempo basketball game,” West Salem coach Travis Myers said. “David Douglas did a great job pressuring our guards late, creating turnovers, while hitting big shots. We were lucky to hold on.”
Sophomore Connor Oertel led the Titans with 20 points. Jimmy Lathen scored 17, and Brooks Ferguson added 10.
For David Douglas, senior Jay’Vanni Sarchi scored 17 points. Jamaree Collins and Josiah Collins each had 14.
West Salem, the No. 3 team out of the Mountain Valley Conference, improved to 18-6. The Titans will travel to South Medford for a second-round state playoff game Friday.

South Medford 79, Sunset 55
South Medford continued its impressive season, rolling to a 24-point win over Sunset in a game played at South Medford High School.
Senior forward Devon Malcolm had a huge game for the Panthers, coming up with a double-double, scoring 21 points while pulling down 18 rebounds. Freshman Boden Howell and senior Junior Sleezer each scored 14. Freshman Drew Hall scored 10.
Senior forward Josh Jackson paced the Apollos with 18 points. Junior Jalen Childs added 14.
South Medford, the Southwest Conference champion, improved its record to 22-2. The Panthers will play host to West Salem in a second-round playoff contest Friday.
Sunset, the No. 4 squad out of the Metro League, finished its season 11-12.
Cleveland 63, Century 38
Cleveland, fresh off its Portland Interscholastic League championship, kept rolling in postseason play, notching a 25-point win over Century in a game played at Cleveland High School.
Junior wing Christian Green led the way for the Warriors with 17 points. During one sequence, Green scored on an offensive rebound and then got a steal and put in a layup. Junior Jackson Cooper added 13 points for Cleveland, and senior Stephen Treat had 11.
“Defense led us all night, holding their best players to single digits and chasing them off the 3-point line,” Cleveland coach Drale Campbell said.
Freshman guard Jessley Bukeyeneza led the Jaguars with 16 points.
Cleveland improved to 21-4. The Warriors will be home to face PIL rival Lincoln in a second-round playoff game Friday.
Century, Pacific Conference runner-up, ended its season 15-10.

In what was maybe the most thrilling game of the opening round, Lincoln used a big comeback, outscoring the Cougars 28-14 in the fourth quarter, to get the win over the Cougars in a game played at Lincoln High School.
Junior Malachi Seely Roberts paced the Cardinals with 18 points. Junior Moroni Seely Roberts added 17 points, and senior Sawyer Heald scored 14.
Canby senior Payton Meyers led all scorers with 20 points. Senior Kellan Oakes added 10 points.
Lincoln, the No. 4 team out of the Portland Interscholastic League, moved to 19-7. The Cardinals will play at PIL foe Cleveland in a second-round playoff contest Friday.
Canby, the No. 5 team out of the Three Rivers League, finished its season 14-12.
Mountainside 64, Benson 52
Mountainside got its postseason off to a winning start, outlasting Benson for a 12-point win in a game played at Mountainside High School.
Freshman guard Brayden Boe helped lead the Mavericks to the victory, scoring a team-high 19 points to go with five rebounds. Senior guard Dylan Westlake had 14 points, four rebounds and four assists, and senior wing Dezman Baker had nine points and six rebounds. Senior wing Daniel Porter also gave a big contribution off the bench.
Benson junior Kavon Bradford led all scorers with 28 points. He also had six rebounds.
Mountainside, which tied for second in the Metro League, improved to 18-7. The Mavericks will travel to Central Catholic for a second-round playoff game Friday.
Benson, the No. 5 team out of the Portland Interscholastic League, finished its season 14-11.
Central Catholic 71, Southridge 43
Central Catholic got off to a winning start to postseason play, powering to a 28-point home victory over Southridge.
Senior Jordan King helped the Rams get off to a fast start, having 16 points, two steals and some key rebounds in the first half. Junior Riley Williams took over in the second half, scoring 10 points and having some big rebounds. Isaac Carr added three 3-pointers to help Central Catholic pull away.
“Team defense and aggressive play made the difference in the game,” Central Catholic coach David Blue said.
King led the Rams with 18 points. Williams added 15, and Carr had nine.
Southridge senior Layne Stricker led all scorers with 22 points.
Central Catholic, the Mt. Hood Conference champion, improved to 22-4. The Rams will play host to Mountainside in a second-round playoff contest Friday.
Southridge, the No. 5 team out of the Metro League, finished its season 12-12.
Roosevelt 62, Clackamas 45
Roosevelt used a balanced scoring attack on its way to posting a 17-point win over Clackamas in a game played at Roosevelt High School.
Junior wing/guard Beya Kim led the way for the Roughriders with 16 points. Senior Raysean Seamster and sophomore Terrance Hill each had 11, and senior Donatello Tupper scored 10.
Senior center Nathan Senatra paced the Cavaliers with 12 points. Senior guard Forrest Reyes added 11.
Roosevelt, the No. 3 squad out of the Portland Interscholastic League, moved to 20-6. The Roughriders will play host to North Medford in a second-round playoff game Friday.
Clackamas, the No. 5 team out of the Mt. Hood Conference, finished its season 12-13.
North Medford 48, Sprague 37
North Medford pulled away in the fourth quarter to get the 11-point victory over Sprague in a game played at North Medford High School.
Black Tornado senior guard Tyson Neff led all scorers with 22 points. He had six steals and three assists. Senior wing Bryce Dyer had a double-double, with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
Senior guard Ryder Skogstad led the Olympians with 22 points.
North Medford, the No. 2 team out of the Southwest Conference, upped its mark to 21-3. The Black Tornado will play at Roosevelt in a second-round playoff contest Friday.
Sprague, the Mountain Valley Conference runner-up, ended its season 16-10.
Barlow 71, Tigard 58
In what was likely expected to be one of the most competitive games of the first round, Barlow came away with a 13-point victory over Tigard.
Senior center Jesse Jones led the way for the Bruins with 23 points. Freshman Jalen Atkins added 18 points, senior Nathan Jones had 15, and senior Tyson Roupp had 10.
Junior Malik Brown paced the Tigers with 24 points. Senior Sawyer Wolf had 12.
Barlow, the Mt. Hood Conference runner-up, improved to 19-7. The Bruins will travel to Summit for a second-round state playoff game Friday.
Tigard, the No. 4 team out of the Three Rivers League, finished its season 14-10.
Summit 78, Liberty 46
Summit had five players score in double figures as it rolled to a 32-point win in a game played at Summit High School.
Caden Harris and Pearson Carmichael paced a balanced Storm scoring attack with 16 points apiece. Senior guard Julian Mora had 13 points and five assists.
Senior guard Charlie Rask led Liberty with 15 points.
Summit, the Mountain Valley Conference champion and the No. 2 team in the final OSAA power rankings, improved to 24-0. The Storm will play host to Barlow in a second-round game Friday.
Liberty, the No. 3 team out of the Pacific Conference, finished its season 12-10.
