When the Ohio State Buckeyes secured the commitment of consensus five-star defensive line recruit J.T. Tuimoloau as part of the 2021 recruiting class they knew they were getting a prize.

The 6-foot-5, 277-pound recruit was sure to deliver some big hits, sacks, tackles-for-loss...

And interceptions?

On Saturday, Tuimoloau showed off the same pass-catching skills that made him a star two-way football player at Eastside Catholic (Washington) and 7-on-7 program Ford Sports Performance - but on the defensive side of the ball.

The defensive lineman made a diving interception against Penn State that showed why he built the reputation as a freakish athlete back in high school:

The interception was the first of Tuimoloau's college career, although he has been a consistent contributor in more traditional defensive lineman categories.

Through one-and-a-half seasons, Tuimoloau has played in 18 games, registering 26 tackles, eight tackles-for-loss and four sacks.
