Vote: Who should be SBLive’s South Carolina High School Football Coach of the Week (11/19/2023)?

Here are the candidates for SBLive’s North Carolina High School Football Coach of the Week (Nov. 16-17) as nominated by our SBLive staff. Read through the nominees and cast your vote at the bottom of the page. Voting will conclude on Saturday, November 25th at 11:59 p.m. and the winner will be announced next week.

Here are this week's nominees:
Ian Rafferty, Summerville
Good coaching often involves making in-game adjustments. Carolina Forest sought to shut off Summerville’s dynamic passing games. So, the Green Wave pounded the ball. Summerville racked up 444 yards on 50 carries in their 63-35 win.
Anthony Reitenour, Jefferson Davis Academy
It’s not every day when you topple a dynasty. The Raiders won the SCISA 8-man title by holding off three-time defending state champion Holly Hill Academy 35-20.
Jon Wheeler, Hammond
The Skyhawks have pretty much owned SCISA football and they won their seventh consecutive state championship. They can handle adversity, too. Hammond trailed 14-0 before recovering for a 28-21 win over Laurence Manning Academy.
Brian Rimpf, Camden
The Bulldogs were behind two touchdowns before rallying for a 35-28 win over Gilbert in the third round of the 3-A state playoffs.
Aaron Brand, Irmo
Brand has directed the Yellow Jackets to an undefeated season and their first state semifinal appearance since 2010. Irmo’s latest impressive performance was a 34-7 rout of previously undefeated James Island.
Dutch Fork, Summerville, Irmo, South Florence roll on in SCHL playoffs
Rusty Charpia, Brookland-Cayce
The Bearcats are in the 3-A state semifinals for the first time since 2017 and they got there with a 53-27 throttling of Crestwood.
Corey Crosby, Bamberg-Ehrhardt
The Red Raiders dismantled a good Cross team 41-6 to reach the 1-A semifinals. Bamberg-Ehrhardt is 12-1 for the season.
Greg Porter, Greenville
The Red Raiders went on the road to win a 42-41 thriller over perennial power Northwestern in the third round of the 2-A state playoffs.
Russell Blackston, Belton-Honea Path
The Bears held off Clinton in a 27-24 thriller in the third round of the 2-A state playoffs. Belton-Honea Pathi is 13-0 after the close call.
Steve Watson, J.L. Mann
Watson and the Patriots turned back Hillcrest 21-13 and advance to the 5-A semifinals. The Patriots are 11-2.
