There are plenty of great football players from the Class of 2027 returning for their junior seasons in South Carolina next fall. Who is the best?

SOUTH CAROLINA HIGH SCHOOL TOP RETURNING OFFENSIVE PLAYER FROM THE CLASS OF 2027

Henry Rivers, quarterback, Berkeley

River got off to a great start in his high school career by throwing for 2,302 yards and 25 touchdowns against 8 interceptions. He also rushed for 557 yards and 8 touchdowns.

Tre Segarra, running back, James F. Byrnes

Segarra ran for 1,115 yards and 11 touchdowns with only 2 fumbles. In addition, Segarra caught 23 passes for 278 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Nick Gordon, wide receiver, Cheraw

Gordon caught 22 passes for 430 yards and 7 touchdowns.

Tiyon Fanning, running back, White Knoll

Fanning ran for 826 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Timberwolves, who were the 5-A state runners-up. He also caught 12 passes for 223 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Tre Howard, quarterback, Ridge View

The 5-foot-9, 150-pounder threw for 1,103 yards and 10 touchdowns with 6 interceptions for the Blazers. Howard completed 62.7 percent of his passes.

Trenton Lynch, running back, Spartanburg

Lynch ran for 828 yards and 5 touchdowns while averaging 7.3 yards a carry.

Mah’Ky Green, running back, Cross

Green displayed big-play ability by running for 694 yards and 10 touchdowns with no fumbles while averaging almost 12 yards per carry.

Grayson Salego, running back Pinewood Prep

The 5-foot-10, 180-pounder ran for 919 yards and 9 touchdowns with just a single fumble. Salego averaged 6.3 yards per carry.

Aiden Gibson, running back, Woodruff

Gibson turned in a solid season running and receiving. The 6-foot, 190-pounder ran for 765 yards and 7 touchdowns. He caught 28 passes for 405 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Isaiah Scott-Palacios, wide receiver/running back, Greenwood Christian

Scott-Palacios appeared in six games and was very productive with 28 carries for 354 yards and 7 touchdowns as well as 15 receptions for 151 yards and a touchdown.
