Niles Hall is a journalism student at San José State University, scheduled to graduate in Spring 2027. He makes his mark as a key contributor to The Spear, SJSU’s sports publication. Hall serves as The Spear’s San José State football beat writer, where he has built a following through consistent coverage of practices, games, and breaking news. In addition to reporting duties, Hall holds a role as one of The Spear’s content editors, helping the publication produce and maintain clear, concise, and accurate stories. He has also written two feature stories that appeared in Issues 64 and 65 of The Spear magazine. As a Bay Area native, Hall has lived in the East Bay his entire life. His Bay Area ties have influenced the type of journalist he is today, emphasizing the importance of blending on-field coverage with a strong understanding of the Bay’s historic sports legacy. His dedication, drive, and competitive edge set him apart as a journalist, allowing him to turn complex game angles into clear game coverage. Hall aims to continue building his career and reputation as an honest journalist, demonstrating integrity and originality through every story.
