Jakobi Meyers Can be a Familiar Key to the Raiders Offense

Las Vegas Raiders sighed Jakobi Meyers this off-season to add more wide receiver depth

The Raiders back on March 13 sighed Jakobi Meyers this off-season, who has a great connection with head coach Josh McDaniels.

Josh McDaniels originally was the offensive coordinator for the New England Patriots. He spent 18 seasons with the Patriots, including 13 seasons as the offensive coordinator. McDaniels has a great connection with newly acquired Wr Jakobi Meyers.

Jakobi Meyers was an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina State back in 2019, where he joined the New England Patriots. Meyers spent three seasons in New England with McDaniels. Those three seasons built a strong connection between the wide receiver and the current Raiders head coach.

Meyers is entering his 5th NFL season. During his time in New England, the 26-year-old had a total of 235 receptions for the Patriots. He has a career total of 2,758 yards and eight career total touchdowns.

Jackobi Myers is coming off one of his best NFL seasons. Last season Meyers played a total of 14 games, where he recorded 67 receptions for 804 yards. Meyers also had six touchdowns for the Patriots last season.

With a Wr room consisting of Davante Adams, Hunter Renfrow, and now Jakobi Meyers, it will be very interesting to see how Meyers develops in silver and black.

It will also be interesting to see how the connection of head coach Josh McDaniels and Jakobi Meyers plays out for the Raiders this upcoming season.
