While the English copies of the chase cards haven't been revealed just yet, it's pretty much a given that they will look practically 1:1 with their Japanese release equivalent from Storm Esmeralda. By looking at the Japanese release, fans can get an early look at exactly what they'll be looking for come November 6th.

On top of the obvious Rayquaza chase cards, a brand-new mechanic will be introduced to the Pokémon TCG in the form of Legendary Stadium cards. These definitely take inspiration from the iconic half-and-half LEGEND cards from the HeartGold/SoulSilver era, both in appearance and in how they operate.

Also first introduced in Storm Esmeralda, these new Legendary Stadium cards need to be played from the hand at the same time and cannot be put into play one at a time. They combine to form a stunning artwork and can have game-changing effects when activated.

While the official announcement of Mega Evolution — Delta Reign has only been around for a couple of hours, the hype has been building ever since Pokémon themselves started teasing the set in June.

All the hype surrounding a release that's centered around one of the most beloved and iconic Pokémon of all time has definitely led to a massive surge in Rayquaza's card market like never seen before.

The most valuable Rayquaza cards of all time were sold between July and August, with the current record holder being a PSA 10 Gold Star Rayquaza from 2005 EX Deoxys that fetched a whopping $682,500 at auction.

Other notable Rayquaza card sales include a PSA 10 Rayquaza Holo from 2011's Call of Legends that closed at $180,200 and a PSA 10 Black Star Promo from 2006, which also fetched a six-digit auction at $132,000.
