2022-23 SEC Men's Basketball Power Rankings: Week 13

There's minimal movement in the latest edition of the power rankings following a disappointing weekend for the conference in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.

With minimal movement following the SEC/Big 12 Challenge, it's all about staying power at this point in the college basketball season.

Had these power rankings come out on Tuesday morning, there might have been a new No. 1 team. However, last night showed that Alabama basketball isn't planning on fading away anytime soon.

The Crimson Tide surrendered its mulligan over the weekend, losing big at Oklahoma in the SEC/Big 12 Challenge. However, it responded in a big way on Tuesday night, decimating Vanderbilt in just about every way imaginable. The final score read 101-44 on the scoreboard inside Coleman Coliseum, with the 57-point margin of victory being the largest for an SEC win in Alabama program history.

The Crimson Tide showed that it deserved to remain atop the power rankings this week.

Around the rest of this week's edition, only two teams exchanged spots. While the remaining 12 teams stay the same, Kentucky and Auburn swap places at third and fourth, respectively. While the Wildcats lost to Kansas before winning over Ole Miss, the Tigers underwent a two-game slide, falling to Texas A&M at home and then on the road at West Virginia.

Other than that, though, and this week's rankings are identical.
