Alabama at the NFL Combine on The Joe Gaither Show

In this story:
The football offseason is heavily upon us, but the NFL calendar never stops. The NFL Combine begins in Indianapolis and as it's the next step in the draft process we discuss its merit on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral".
There are 10 Alabama football players participating in this year's combine. Can any of them raise their profile with strong performances at Lucas Oil Stadium? Or does the combine simply serve as a way for the NFL to stay in the headlines?
The NFL Combine is separated into three parts, the interviews with organizations, a medical evaluation and the drills. So much attention is given to the drills as praise is heaped upon the fasted 40-yard dash and the most repetitions on the bench press, but do the exercises really matter?
The program moves on from the NFL Combine into Allen Flanigan's incident in the Ole Miss vs. South Carolina basketball game on Saturday. We compare Flanigan's act to Mohammed Wague's elbow that saw him suspended by the conference office. Did the SEC office fail to stay consistent? Why?
Lastly we address Alabama basketball's hypothetical NCAA Tournament region as the Crimson Tide are still slated as a 3-seed in Joe Lunardi's latest bracketology. Who else is projected to go to Memphis? Is there a chance for an early tournament exit for Alabama, given the Tide's defensive struggles this season?
