Let's mix things up on a Wednesday edition of "The Joe Gaither Show" as we spend time with some of our affiliates at CowbellCorner and MizzouCentral to get a different feel for today.

Jacob Bain from CowbellCorner talks about the Bulldogs bringing in Coleman Hutzler and discusses recruits that Mississippi State can go after over the next several days. Who was Jeff Lebby's most important retention from the previous staff? What are State fan's expectations for this program in the future?

Next we welcome Joey Van Zummeren of MizzouCentral to talk about the Cotton Bowl as Missouri has a chance to put a stamp on its season. Van Zummeren warns the audience that even though the Buckeyes have a lot of players hitting the transfer portal it's still going to be a challenging game.

When it comes to Missouri basketball they just lost to their out of conference rival in Kansas but the Jayhawks are a perennial power and the Tigers showed encouraging signs for the rest of the season.

We said goodbye to our conference foes and turn our eyes to Alabama centric news starting with bitter rival Auburn.

The Tigers have been accused in a USA Today article of cheating and filming walkthroughs in basketball in the earlier days of current head coach Bruce Pearl's tenure. Will the article lead to anything? Is this common practice throughout college basketball?

We finish with a transfer portal defensive lineman who's scheduled a visit to Alabama. Fadil Diggs played the last four years with Texas A&M and has entered the portal. He's considering the Crimson Tide and the Syracuse Orange at the moment.

Lastly we said happy birthday to the Crimson Tide's signal caller as Jalen Milroe turns 21 today. What other great SEC player does he strangely share a birthday with?
