It's going to be a big weekend of Alabama athletics so let's talk about it on the Friday edition of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral".

We open the show by recapping what has happened with the Alabama football coaching staff. The Crimson Tide lost Ryan Grubb and Scott Huff to the Seattle Seahawks, leaving holes in the offensive line room. How might the Tide mitigate those holes and how does that change things from a day-to-day perspective for new head coach Kalen DeBoer?

We dig deeper into Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne's mind as to what made DeBoer his choice to replace Nick Saban in the new era of college football and we make a mention of the significant off the field staff he's accumulated.

The program moves onto basketball as it's a significant weekend for the Crimson Tide. Alabama is hosting Texas A&M so we clearly talk about the matchup on the court, but primarily spend our time talking about the ceiling for this year's team.

If the Crimson Tide is able to win the SEC regular season and match 2015 Notre Dame's run in March Madness would it be the best team in program history?

We briefly discuss the matchups across the conference on the Saturday slate as there are only a few short weeks remaining in the season.

Lastly we discuss former Alabama football players Eddie Jackson and Mac Jones as negative headlines have emerged around both NFL stars. Jackson has already been released by the Chicago Bears and Jones appears to be on his way out the door in New England so we discuss both careers thus far.
