Live Updates: No. 14 Alabama Softball vs. Mississippi State (Game 2)

Game 2 of Alabama's road series against Mississippi State is an important one. The Crimson Tide hasn't swept an SEC series this season, and can come closer toward that achievement today with a 1:30 p.m. game.
Alabama's offense gave starting pitcher Montana Fouts just enough run support in a 4-3 win over the Bulldogs in Friday's opener. Fouts allowed three runs on five hits with nine strikeouts.
Alabama sends Alex Alter to the circle in Saturday's Game 2. She's got a 5-2 record and a 2.63 ERA.
Alabama is also trying to make a charge in the SEC standings. UA is tied with Florida and Kentucky for fifth in the league with a 7-6 mark. Tennessee is the league leader at 11-2, followed by Georgia (11-4), Auburn (8-5) and Arkansas (9-6).
