It's a fun Tuesday edition of "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" as we pit two of Alabama's biggest rivals against one another.

The Tennessee Volunteers are once again in the crosshairs of the NCAA due to potential rule violations around name, image and likeness. While it's certainly fun to poke fun at one of Alabama's biggest rivals, is it right?

Has the NCAA created such ambiguity around name, image and likeness that the rules are hard to follow? What sort of power does the NCAA really have anymore? They were unable to keep Michigan out of the college football playoffs, they haven't issued a post-season ban in quite a while, is the governing body just grasping at straws to stay relevant?

We transition from the scandal to Tuscaloosa where senior guard Mark Sears was left off the Bob Cousy and Jerry West Award finalist list? Why was Sears slighted if his numbers are on par with all the finalists? Does Sears pass the eye test? Was he left off due to Alabama's average non-conference record?

Ryan Williams is one of our favorite topics on "The Joe Gaither Show on BamaCentral" and we talk about the Saraland Spartan making history on Tuesday.

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer got a huge win by resecuring Williams in the Class of 2024 last week. On Tuesday DeBoer and the Alabama athletic staff announced a date for the annual "A-Day" festivities.

What will the weekend look like with football, baseball and softball all in action?

We round out the program by looking at this week's mid-week slate of games in SEC men's basketball. Not too many teams are on upset alert but it's still important for Alabama to hold serve against inferior opponents.
