The Crimson Tide is 2-7 all-time against the Clemson Tigers. Alabama lost the last matchup 64-56 in 2020 at State Farm Arena in head coach Nate Oats's only matchup with Clemson.
The Tigers finished third in the ACC in 2022-23 but did not make the NCAA Tournament. Instead, they were upset at home in the first round of the NIT by Morehead State.
Clemson joins Purdue, Creighton, Arizona, Indiana State, South Alabama and Mercer as the Tide's non-conference schedule takes shape.
Other notable matchups in the ACC/SEC Challenge include Miami-Kentucky, Tennessee-North Carolina and Duke-Arkansas. The games will be on the ESPN family of networks from Tuesday, Nov. 28- Thursday, Nov. 30.
Alabama's women's basketball team will take on Syracuse for the first time in program history.
The Orange finished ninth in the ACC in 2023 and were invited into the NIT tournament. Syracuse was eliminated by Columbia in the Elite Eight of the Women's NIT.
This story has been updated to correct the opponent for the Alabama women's team which was misidentified due to the confusing nature of the graphic.
