TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Another week goes by, and things remain the same.

The Alabama Crimson Tide won its eighth straight game on Saturday at Kentucky, but it wasn't enough to get a boost. Alabama (9-1, 7-0 SEC) remained at No. 8 in Tuesday's release of the College Football Playoff Top 25.

The Crimson Tide rolled over the Wildcats, 49-21, in Lexington. Jalen Milroe amounted for six total touchdowns. However, Alabama still sits behind two other one-loss teams, Texas and Oregon.

The Longhorns defeated the Crimson Tide 34-24 in Tuscaloosa on Sept. 9.

"I think the big point of emphasis that we'd like to make moving forward is we still got to stay focused on execution," head coach Nick Saban said Monday. "It's not just about making plays and most of the issues that we have in games: offense, defense, doesn't really matter come down to are we communicating and is everybody on the same page? When we do that we seem to have really good results, and sometimes when we don't we give up plays that we probably shouldn't give up."

"If you're going to peak at the right time, you can't have peaks and valleys — you got to keep going in the right direction. And that's what we want to get our players to focus on this week in practice in preparation for this game."
