It's a big weekend in Tuscaloosa with Alabama football's first A-Day under Kalen DeBoer. But down the road at Rhoads Stadium will be an SEC softball series with massive implications for conference and NCAA Tournament seeding.

No. 13 Alabama hosts No. 12 Texas A&M for three games from Saturday-Monday. The Crimson Tide is coming off its first SEC series win (and sweep) last weekend over Ole Miss while the Aggies picked up a home series win against Kentucky.

Texas A&M is currently third in the SEC standings with a 10-5 conference record. Alabama got up to .500 at 6-6 after sweeping the rebels last weekend. Here's what you need to know about the series between the Crimson Tide and Aggies this weekend.

Series history: Alabama leads, 20-6

Last meeting: The two teams last met in the 2022 regular season with the Aggies winning the series in College Station. Alabama did salvage a game in the series finale with a 4-2 win on April 24, 2022.

Last time out, Alabama: The Crimson Tide's midweek matchup with Samford was canceled due to weather, but Alabama beat Ole Miss in all three games at home last weekend. In the series finale, Kayla Beaver pitched a complete game for the Crimson Tide and Kendal Clark and Emma Broadfoot knocked home runs in the 5-1 win.

Last time out, Texas A&M: The Aggies won the series at Kentucky, but dropped the series finale, 1-0.
