Recruiting Rundown: Alabama Welcomes Numerous Visitors For SEC Opener

Alabama to host another big recruiting weekend as the Rebels roll into Tuscaloosa.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team is set to take on the Ole Miss Rebels in the SEC opener for both schools. 

While Alabama is finally set at the quarterback position for the 2023 season, the Crimson Tide is hosting its most prolific commit in the 2024 class in 5-star quarterback Julian Sayin. 

Sayin committed to the Crimson Tide last November but this will be his only official visit currently on the books and will check out Tuscaloosa as Alabama is set to take on the Rebels.

Alabama picked up a commitment this past week in 3-star linebacker prospect Quinton Reese out of Ramsay High School in Birmingham. Reese became the ninth commitment in the class from the state of Alabama and gives the Tide 20 commitments in the 2024 class.

According to Andrew Bone of BamaOnline the Crimson Tide will host several uncommitted visitors as well. Two class of 2024 running backs and several prospects in future classes.

Tide Bits

Alabama football isn't the only program with a  huge recruiting weekend coming. Nate Oats and the Crimson Tide basketball team is set to hose 5-Star guard Boogie Fland for an official visit. Fland is out of White Plaines, New York and down to eight schools. He's considering Kentucky, Alabama, Michigan, Maryland, North Carolina, Indiana, UConn and St. Johns.
