A Late Flip Again? Noreel White Signs with Ole Miss

Crystal ball prediction put Mississippi athlete back in Arkansas, but it didn't last

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — In a fast-moving signing day, Noreel White has apparently settled on Ole Miss after some conflicting reports. Here's what we reported earlier:

In a turn of events, former 2024 Arkansas commitment Noreel White has resurfaced as a possible signee for the Razorbacks. David Johnson, Ole Miss beat writer for 247sports, placed a crystal ball prediction for White to become a Hog again.

That didn't last long. Just a few hours later, he ended up signing with the Rebels. White is considered the No. 223 prospect in the country out of Ocean Springs, Mississippi. He considers himself a wide receiver at the college level while 247 has him labeled as an athlete due to his ability to play defensive back. They rank him as the No. 15 athlete in the country and No. 7 prospect in the Magnolia State.

After playing in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star game over the weekend, White became one of the top uncommitted players in the country after de-committing to Ole Miss. As a senior at St. Martin, he rushed for 491 yards and five touchdowns while recording 610 yards and six touchdowns receiving.

The 6-foot, 185-pounder decommitted from Arkansas on August 1 after pledging to the Razorbacks in March. Razorback assistant coaches Marcus Woodson and Deron Wilson were the lead recruiters luring White to Fayetteville. He committed to the Hogs over offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Florida State and Auburn.

Before Wednesday’s Signing Day, Arkansas held one commitment from a 2024 receiver in Ashton Bethel-Roman from Ridge Point in Missouri City, Texas. Bethel-Roman made waves on social media with his surprise visit to the Aggies last weekend.

Former Razorbacks wide receiver commitment Courtney Crutchfield ended his recruitment on Tuesday announcing he would attend Missouri. It appears the Hogs at least wanted to sign two receivers in this class since Krosse Johnson from Holy Cross High in New Orleans jumped aboard following his de-commitment from Louisiana.
