Reaction from Razorbacks' Thrashing Not Surprising

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — After feeling very good with the Arkansas Razorbacks’ performance the previous two games, it returned to the status quo once again losing 95-74 on the road to LSU. When the Hogs fell behind 20-7 with 12:23 left in the first half there was no looking back for the Tigers.

I thought maybe Arkansas basketball had turned a corner recently.

It appears that was just some home game moral victory stuff. Then we played Mizzou, who is absolutely pathetic.
Just not our year. Baseball will be here soon!
Arkansas never pulled within single digits from for the remainder of the game, the sixth loss by double digits this season. Obviously, the Razorbacks continue to have an issue with defending the three as LSU made 12-of-23 attempts, led by Williams Baker’s 4-of-5, 25 point outburst. The seven-footer was nearly unguardable making 9-of-11 field goal attempts.
Really wish we would’ve snagged Baker out of the portal. Watched a game last year where he started like 8/8 in the first six minutes 🤣

Of course, Baker hasn’t been a factor in every SEC game this season. The Nevada transfer is averaging 11 points per game this season and only eight points in SEC play. As it seems, it was total fate Baker went off today.
Death. Taxes. Some random scrub for LSU going off against Arkansas in Baton Rouge.

Between a terrible start, a minor altercation between Makhi Mitchell and Eric Musselman and a flat effort Razorback fans’ remain fed up with this team. Final four aspirations due to previous success and a star-studded transfer class was a cause for optimism. Now, there’s just a feeling of hitting reset on a team which sits 11-11 overall.
Plenty of recent years I've gotten to the point where I'm just waiting to get the season over with. Normally it's been football. Just overall embarrassment.

Hogs ain’t good and it makes me sad.

It’s been a historic season for Arkansas basketball:
— JC Hoops (@JacksonCollier) February 3, 2024
- worst loss in Bud Walton Arena history
- worst home loss in program history (closest was 28 to SMU in 1957 - records only dating back to 1947-1948)
- worst loss EVER to Auburn
- third-worst loss to South Carolina, worst…
Arkansas basketball was the biggest miss in the sport this season.

Absolutely terrible. I bought in and was promptly shown how stupid I was.
Fix it next season I guess.
National blogs even see Arkansas’ struggles concerning. Two straight Elite Eight appearances plus a Sweet 16 last year made this season seem like a shoe-in. No way would Arkansas fall off the NCAA Tournament map but here it sits.
Not seeing Arkansas in the NCAA Tournament this year after the runs they’ve went on the past 3 in March is going to be a weird feeling…

Hogs are 2-7 in their last 9 games.
LSU was red hot from the field Saturday, knocking down 12 three’s. The Tigers success was hard to watch especially for the Razorbacks. Everything was going down, guarded well or not. Losing in the manner Arkansas has would drain morale out of any team.
Buddy, the body language I'm seeing from Arkansas hoops is about as bad as I've seen in a long time.

LSU pouring it on the Hogs right now on Baton Rouge.
When Tramon Mark transferred to Arkansas from Houston, he did so to display his offensive game. The Cougars spent most of its seasons as Final Four contenders annually with teams built on defense first. Sadly, Mark’s offensive ability has been solid but the wins haven’t been there to back it up.
Tramon Mark should’ve stayed in Houston

Tramon Mark getting his points, I guess he’s achieving his goal for coming to Arkansas

Coming into the season, it was believed that Temple transfer Khalif Battle would be the offensive star to get Arkansas over the hump. However, his production has suffered and was nowhere to be found in second half. Battle played nine minutes shooting 0-3 from the field and pulling in a single rebound.
Eric Musselman said Khalif Battle not playing in the second half was a coach's decision.

Arkansas has lost SIX of NINE SEC games by double-digits and FOUR by 20+ points.
— Jacob Davis (@JacobScottDavis) February 3, 2024
The 2008-09 team, which beat No. 4 OU and No. 7 Texas in week span, lost just EIGHT games by double-digits. TWO losses by 20+ points.
Record setting year for Razorback basketball.
For Arkansas, they now return home again in seven days to play Georgia. The Bulldogs defeated the Razorbacks by double digits at the Stegman Coliseum in Athens. Another embarrassing loss and the carriage might fall out from under the so-called ‘Muss Bus.’
HOG FEED:
RAZORBACKS COME UP WOEFULLY SHORT IN ANOTHER 20-POINT LOSS ON ROAD AT LSU
ARKANSAS FANS MAY HAVE GIVEN UP, BUT ERIC MUSSELMAN HASN'T
BOBBY PETRINO'S SUCCESS HAS BEEN BUILT ON "FEEDING THE STUDS," BUT RAZORBACKS MAY NOT HAVE ANY
