Recruiting expert believes Auburn will complete the flip of Perry Thompson

Over the past few months, there has been tons of smoke that Auburn will flip five-star wide receiver Perry Thompson from his Alabama commitment.

Thompson is currently on the Plains for Big Cat Weekend, which is already big because it means he is in Auburn rather than in Tuscaloosa.

Locked On recruiting expert, Brian Smith joined the Locked On Auburn Podcast to talk about the potential flip of Thompson.

Here is what Smith had to say, "If he doesn't commit would it be the bigger surprise? My answer would be yes. I mean, how much longer could you put it off? This has been going on for a while. It's time. Go ahead and make your announcement before your senior season."

Hearing someone as in touch with high school recruiting as Smith thinking a Thompson flip could be coming soon really makes that smoke feel like fire.

If the Tigers were able to land Thompson, Auburn's chances of finishing the 2024 recruiting class top ten in the nation would skyrocket.

Auburn already flipped Georgia commit Demarcus Riddick this week, so adding Thompson to this class would be massive.

It's clear that with Coach Hugh Freeze at the helm, Auburn is back to being a big dog when it comes to landing five-star recruits.

The Auburn family would erupt if Thompson were to flip during Big Cat Weekend activities.
