Auburn was able to head across the country and beat the Cal Golden Bears in a real defensive struggle. 

Heading into the game against Cal, Auburn was ranked 22nd in the ESPN FPI rankings, and after the win, the Tigers dropped three spots to the 25th spot. 

Auburn's projected record heading into the Cal game was 6.9-5.1, and now, after the big win, the projected record is up to 7.3-4.7. 

The Tiger's chances of winning six or more games went from 78.8% to 88.9% after the 14-10 win over Cal. 

Now, the Auburn Tigers will face off with Samford in a game Auburn has a 98.7% chance to win, according to ESPN's FPI rankings. 

Things are moving in the right direction for Coach Freeze's bunch as we are nearing the start of conference play.
