Bearcats Guard Mike Saunders Entering Transfer Portal
CINCINNATI — One of the Bearcats' young guards is entering the transfer portal. Sophomore Mike Saunders is assessing other school options for the 2022-23 season.
Saunders averaged 7.3 points, two rebounds, and 2.7 assists this season across 20.2 minutes per game. He brought an element of burst off the dribble that Cincinnati lacked across other areas of the roster. Add in the second-best assist total and three-point percentage (35.9%) on the team this season, and you get a legitimate loss for the program.
Cincinnati now has two open scholarship positions pending after fellow guard Mason Madsen entered the portal last week.
