Corey Kiner Enjoys Laughing After Getting Tackled by Opponents: 'Really Messes With Defenders'
CINCINNATI — Corey Kiner is a joyous personality off the field and on it. When an opponent tackles him, it really shows through. UC football's leading rusher this season (885 yards, 5.5 yards per carry) came on the Bearcat Blitz podcast this week and discussed how he likes to laugh after getting taken down.
Kiner's had more than a few chances to do it while doubling his 2022 carry load already.
"What keeps me ready like in the zone in games, is I'll get tackled sometimes and I'll just bust out laughing as I'm getting tackled," Kiner said on the show. "That really messes with defenders, because in the game Saturday against Houston, I don't know what it was but I got tackled and I just bust out laughing and one of the defenders got so mad. And I'm like, "Oh we winning this game.'"
UC got the job done 24-14 thanks to Kiner's third game this season with 125-plus rushing yards and the first multi-rushing TD game of his college career. They'll likely need another strong Kiner outing to pull the upset over West Virginia.
