Former UC Linebacker Joel Dublanko Drafted by XFL Team

The defender is one of the best leaders from the Fickell era.

CINCINNATI — Former UC linebacker Joel Dublanko is back in a professional football league.

The XFL's San Antonio Brahmas drafted him in the ninth round of the XFL Draft on Wednesday night.

Dublanko played in 64 career games and made 233 tackles throughout five seasons at UC. He was named a First-Team All-AAC player by the league and PFF.

The 2023 XFL season starts on Feb. 18.
