Look: CBS Sports Analyst Josh Pate Power Ranks Cincinnati Football Last Among All 16 Big 12 Teams

The Bearcats have a ton to prove in Year 2 under Scott Satterfield.

CINCINNATI — CBS Sports host Josh Pate dropped his Big 12 Football Power Ranking this week ahead of the new 16-team look in the fall and Cincinnati came in last among all 16 teams.

Pate used four factors in his ranking: On-Field Production, Talent Acquisition, Stability, and Resource Pool.

"Brigham Young at 15, Cincinnati at 16," Pate said on Late Kick With Josh Pate. "Both struggled in Year One in the Big 12. Mediocre talent acquisition, whatever."

It's safe to say Cincinnati football hasn't been viewed this lowly through a national lens in a long time. The Bearcats posted 247Sports's 33rd-best transfer haul this offseason but that wasn't enough to lift them from Pate's basement.

They have a lot to prove after posting a 3-9 record in 2023, the worst mark from a Bearcats team this century.
