The Athletic Ranks Arquon Bush Ninth Among Senior CBs

The veteran talent is ready to show off his full package of skills in 2022.

CINCINNATI — Veteran UC cornerback Arquon Bush is the prime leader in UC's cornerback room and could hear his name called at the 2023 NFL Draft. The Athletic's Dane Brugler released his top-20 senior cornerbacks heading into the 2022 season with Bush checking in at No. 9.

The senior primarily played slot cornerback last season, but he will be all over the boundaries in 2022 as the Bearcats move on from Coby Bryant and Ahmad "Sauce" Gardner.

Bush started 11 games as UC's nickel corner in 2021, posting 42 tackles with three interceptions and six PBUs. He also blocked two kicks—highlighting his strong potential on special teams. Most late-round picks end up making rosters based on their special teams acumen, and Bush has that in spades.

Versatility is crucial for NFL defensive backs. Bush will show off his dynamic skill throughout (hopefully for UC) the final 14 games of his college career.
