UC Wide Receiver Tre Tucker Opts Out Of 2022 Fenway Bowl

The Bearcats receiver ranks are thinning by the day for next week's game.

CINCINNATI — UC is down another receiver for next week's Fenway Bowl against Louisville. Tre Tucker is opting out of the game to begin his NFL Draft preparation.

The speedster finishes his 2022 season as the second leading pass catcher on the team (52) to go with 672 yards and 3 TDs.

"To the fans, you were undoubtedly a huge part of our success," Tucker said as part of his goodbye. "The feeling of running out of the tunnel in the Nipp will always be an unreal moment thanks to you. Continue to defend the Nipp. With that being said, I have decided to opt-out of the bowl game and declare for the 2023 NFL Draft. Time to turn this lifetime dream into a reality."

He finishes his career just outside UC's top-10 receptions list (111).

Marlon Pearce (1990-92) is 10th all-time with 125 catches.

The Bearcats have now lost Nick Mardner, Jadon Thompson, and Tucker from the bowl game roster. Chris Scott and Will Pauling, among others, figure to get a healthy snap increase at Fenway Park.
