New Edge Rusher Mikah Coleman is Excited For Full Cincinnati Football Experience

The Ohio native wasted no time committing to Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI —  New Bearcats edge rusher Micah Coleman is primed for a strong final few college seasons at Cincinnati after transferring from Eastern Michigan this past December.

The early choice was easy for Coleman as a Reynoldsburg, Ohio native. I caught up with him to see what he's working on this offseason after 38 tackles, 6.5 TFLs, 29 pressures, and 4.5 sacks for Eastern Michigan in 2023.

"We work on the side scissors (pass-rush move), that's a move I'm trying to get down right now because I'm rushing more interior now," Coleman noted. "So with my speed and length against the guard, just trying to work the side scissors."

Coleman is excited to get in front of the Nippert crowd and show what kind of player he is.

"Explosive, dominant player," Coleman said about what fans can expect from him. "Player that could take over the game, get the defense off of the field and help win games. So that's what I'm trying to bring to the table."
