CINCINNATI — The Godfather is back.

Bearcats All-American defensive tackle Dontay Corleone is returning for the 2024 season according to ESPN's Pete Thamel.

"It's to help my city out," Corleone told Thamel. "I love my fan base. They are very loyal. I want to end on a high note. I believe in this coaching staff."

Corleone finished with 39 tackles (6.5 for loss) and three sacks in 2023. He wants to help the Bearcats get back to their winning ways.

He was projected to be a late day two or early day three pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Instead of being picked in rounds 3-5, he'll return to school to get his degree and to hopefully usher in a new era of Bearcats football.

This is huge news for head coach Scott Satterfield and the entire football program.
